Methodology/Sources:

This is the third annual edition of the NYLJ Book of Lists, which this year was compiled using NYLJ 100 firms-the firms with the largest offices in New York State. Corporate counsel lists were formed using companies located in the "tri-state" area (NY, CT, and NJ). All information was culled from 2006 surveys previously published by one of ALM Media's magazines, newspapers, or electronic forums.
