Legal Times' annual survey of the largest law firms in Washington D.C. includes number of lawyers, number of partners, percent change from previous year and expected number of associates.

Methodology/Sources:
The Legal Times 150 survey ranks the largest law offices in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area by attorney head count, as of April 1. The metro area includes the District of Columbia; Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland; and Arlington and Fairfax counties and the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church in Virginia.

The data includes total number of full-time equivalent lawyers, partners, and associates in each office in the D.C. metropolitan area. Contract attorneys, patent agents, or summer associates are not included in lawyer counts. Each metro-area office of a firm is counted separately. In cases where attorneys divide their time between local offices, they are counted in the office where they spend the majority of their time.
