Corporate Representation (Who Counsels Who)

Description: Starting in 2005, all information from the "Who Counsels Who" surveys conducted by ALM Media's publications about public and private companies was combined into one product. Those surveys include, for example, Who Represents Corporate America and Who Represents IP America. Additional representation information is culled from all of ALM Media's magazines and newspapers--about 30 in all. Main categories of representation in the data include, but are not limited to:

• General Corporate Representation
• Litigation
• Intellectual Property
• Labor and Employment
• Global representation and important subdivisions of the main categories (from 2004 forward)
• IPO Filing for private corporations
• Patent Prosecution for private corporations
• Private Equity Deals for private corporations
• And more

Note that this product is updated on a monthly basis. ALM Legal Intelligence Online Research Online subscribers have free access to this product as part of their subscription. Non-subscribers who purchase this product individually will be given a link to access the monthly updates.

Methodology/Sources:
The information in this spreadsheet comes from a variety of sources and is compiled by ALM Legal Intelligence staff. The majority of the information is culled from surveys and reports published in ALM Media's magazines and newspapers. Examples include: Who Counsels Corporate America (Corporate Counsel, National Law Journal), an annual list, and the monthly "Big Deals" and "Big Suits" columns from The American Lawyer. Added to this are the non-annual lists on, for instance, private equity and LBO representation, as well as information from many law firm press releases.
